DeathBet is a decentralized, non-custodial prediction market protocol deployed on the Base Layer 2 blockchain. It is not a financial product, securities exchange, gambling platform, or investment service. The platform facilitates peer-to-peer opinion markets where participants stake USDC on binary outcomes of real-world events.
Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. All market outcomes are uncertain. You may lose the entire amount you stake. Past market results are not indicative of future outcomes.
All funds are held in an audited smart contract on Base L2. However, smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities. By interacting with the contract you accept full responsibility for any loss of funds resulting from smart contract failure, network issues, or oracle errors. DeathBet does not hold or control your funds.
Markets are resolved by a designated resolver address based on publicly verifiable information from the listed resolution sources. The resolver uses reasonable judgment but resolution decisions are final and binding once committed on-chain. DeathBet reserves the right to cancel any market that becomes unresolvable, in which case all stakers may reclaim their principal (fees are non-refundable).
A flat fee of $0.05 USDC is charged per bet. This fee is non-refundable, including in the case of market cancellation. No other platform fees apply to winnings.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. DeathBet makes no guarantees regarding uptime, availability, or accuracy of market data. We are not liable for any losses, damages, or claims arising from use of this platform.
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
